Fresh Therapeutics in Bondi needed a new home within their shopping centre — a space that could support their specialised compounding services and patient-centred care, despite a very compact 64m² footprint. Working with Pharmacium, that challenge became an opportunity to rethink how thoughtful design can elevate workflow, efficiency and customer experience.
Pharmacium partnered closely with the Fresh Therapeutics team to understand their operational needs, clinical services and compounding workflows. The result is a modern, light-filled pharmacy that feels open and accessible while still delivering the functionality required for a highly specialised service offering.
The design makes exceptional use of the footprint. Even though the space is compact, it feels calm, contemporary and incredibly efficient for both customers and staff.
A clearly defined retail area supports everyday patient interactions, while intuitive pathways lead to the back-of-house for seamless staff movement and workflow separation.
One of the project’s most significant achievements is the integration of a full-size compounding laboratory and a private consulting room within such a small footprint.
The compounding lab is engineered for precision and compliance, with extensive benching, organised storage, ergonomic access to equipment and strong workflow flow-through for accuracy and safety.
The consulting room provides a professional, private environment for in-depth patient conversations, vaccinations, medication reviews and clinical services — a core part of Fresh Therapeutics’ model of care.
This project highlights the power of intelligent pharmacy design to support specialist services, clinical care and operational efficiency.
